Gary Neville sacks Arsenal with new Premier League title message, new Manchester City truth clear

Gary Neville has little confidence that Tottenham Hotspur can help Arsenal win the Premier League title. The Gunners once again gave Manchester City the lead with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, but the Championship side are not letting up.

They also recorded a comfortable victory, beating hapless Wolves by five points thanks to four goals from Erling Haaland. So with Mikel Arteta’s side still just one point clear of the top spot at the top of the table, Pep Guardiola’s side have the most important game in hand.

With two weeks left in the season, the master and apprentice parted ways again. Therefore, attention once again turns to the remaining games.

Arsenal travel to Manchester United for an important game next week. Erik ten Hag’s side are still fighting to retain their place in the top six and eyeing the possibility of sneaking into fifth place. There’s plenty of games left to play there and United would love nothing more than to get one of their rivals.

Manchester City will first face Fulham and then face Tottenham Hotspur in this game. Tottenham trailed 4-0 away to Liverpool on Sunday, suffered a fourth consecutive league defeat and conceded 13 goals, and Neville was not confident that Anj Postkoglu’s side would cause too much trouble for Manchester City.

Commenting after goals from Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott put the Reds in trouble, he said: “Arsenal will be at Old Trafford next weekend. Rufford has a job to do and Manchester City have a job to do at Fulham. “But I think Arsenal fans, managers and players, if you look at this Tottenham team and think whether they can do it. Some way to improve on Tuesday’s game of the week so you’re going to wonder when you see them in front of you now.
