David Raya wins Premier League Golden Glove award news

David Raya has secured the 2023/24 Premier League Golden Glove award outright after keeping a clean sheet in our 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

Our goalkeeper has kept 15 clean sheets in 30 league games this season since moving from Brentford in August, meaning he has sealed the trophy with two games remaining.

His closest rival is Jordan Pickford, who has 12 shutouts for Everton this season, but with the Toffees just two games remaining, the England goalkeeper is unable to catch up in the rankings Enter David.

David has kept 10 clean sheets in 15 games since the turn of the year, helping us keep our Premier League title hopes alive.

The achievement is all the more special considering he missed the first four games of the season following his move from The Bees to us, making his debut against Everton in September. He also missed two games against Brentford as he was not eligible to face his former club.

This is the third time a Gunners goalkeeper has won this award, having first won it in the 2004/05 season. Wojciech Szczesny tied Chelsea’s Petr Cech with 16 clean sheets in 2013/14, and after moving to north London, Cech achieved the title two seasons later when he also Achieved 16 clean sheets.
