Kai Havertz named PL Player of the Month | News


We are delighted to announce that Michelle Agyemang has signed her first professional contract with us.

Our England youth international forward joined us at the age of six in 2012 and has shown strong development and progress during his time with our academy.

In November 2022, 16-year-old Michelle made her first-team debut for Arsenal in a Barclays Women’s Super League win over Leicester City, before our first-team clash with Leeds United on 29 January 2023 In the Women’s FA Cup match, Michelle scored the first goal for Arsenal’s first team.

Michelle joined Barclays Women’s Championship side Watford Football Club on a dual contract in September 2023, scoring six goals and gaining valuable first-team experience in the process. During her time at Watford, she also won two Player of the Week awards and one Player of the Month award.

Michel said: “Arsenal Football Club is like family to me, so to sign a professional contract here is incredible and truly the stuff of dreams. I’m really grateful for this opportunity and I can’t wait I want to continue playing for Arsenal.

Academy Manager James Honeyman said: “We are delighted with Michelle’s progress and very proud of her journey to get to this moment. Michelle has been an important part of our academy over the years and we are all Looking forward to seeing what she accomplishes in the professional game.

Director of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley added: “We are delighted that Michelle has signed on with us at Terminals. Michelle has shown outstanding goalscoring and playmaking ability at academy level, through hard work and dedication Spirit, we believe she has all the abilities.
