Fantasy lineups for Week 35 doubleheader

Fantasy expert Neale Rigg reveals his dream squads for FPL Challenge Double Match Weekend 35 (DGW35) from five London clubs (Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Tottenham Tottenham Hotspur players receive double points.

Not only did the Chelsea players earn double points in this week’s FPL Challenge, but they also played in two matches.

Therefore, any midfielder or forward who lasts for more than an hour in either of the Blues’ DGW35 games will have a healthy base of eight points, as long as they don’t pick up a yellow or red card.

We do not need any further encouragement to include Cole Palmer (£6.2m), he is expected to recover from the illness and feature on Saturday. The midfielder is averaging 8.8 points per game as a starter, more than any other active Premier League player this season.

His 10 double-digit carries in the 2023/24 Fantasy season also led all players.

FPL DGW35 Challenge Team

Chelsea’s DGW35 fixtures look tricky on paper, starting with an away game against high-flying Aston Villa and then hosting Tottenham in a London derby.

However, for Palmer and nicholas jackson (£6.8m), both teams also have expected goals against (xGA) in the lower half of the table.

Jackson’s highest score of the game week came against ten-man Tottenham, when the Chelsea striker scored a hat-trick.

His recent form has also been promising, returning in six of his past eight starts.

Djordje Petrovich (£4.6m) is our third and final selection from Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Since his debut, he has contributed 15 save points in 16 starts, so he can make up for any lack of clean sheets.

Polo is fit to return

Ange Postecoglou revealed on Friday Pedro Polo (£5.8m) is set to return against Arsenal this weekend, with the right-back recovering from a minor injury sustained in the Matchday 33 defeat to Newcastle United.

In any case, FPL Challenge administrators can at least see the North London derby lineup before deciding on the starting players for both sides. The deadline for the clash with Arsenal is 14:00 BST on Sunday.

Polo’s appeal is based as much on his attacking threat as his potential to keep a clean sheet. He has taken the most shots among defenders this season, with 42.

Another reason why Spurs players are being strongly considered: they, like Chelsea, have two games in DGW35.

Their first opponent, Arsenal, does have the best defensive record in the division, both in terms of clean sheets and fewest goals conceded.

but Sun Xingmin (£9.8m) Love Derby: In fact, his last two goals came against Mikel Arteta’s title challengers in game six.

Formal palace demands attention

Players from Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Fulham will also earn double points in this week’s FPL Challenge.

The Gunners and Hawks may only meet once, but they are teams in good form and worth keeping an eye on.

Crystal Palace have made it three consecutive wins heading into Saturday’s game against Craven Cottage.

First game since Oliver Glasner took charge in Week 26 Jean-Philippe Matata (£5.1m) has scored eight goals, more than any other fantasy forward.

Michael Ollis Meanwhile, he (£5.6m) has scored 8.4 points per start this season, trailing only Palmer.

Ollis came off the bench in midweek, suggesting Glasner could start him against Fulham this weekend.

As for Arsenal, the midfield Kai Havertz (£7.4m) is enjoying his time as an “out of position” centre-forward.

He has provided 13 attacking returns in his last 12 starts, most recently scoring twice against Chelsea on Tuesday.

Ben white (£6m) does come up against one of our midfielders, Son Heung-min, but it seems unwise to track back against the defender, who has only had one open goal in his last 11 starts.

No defender in the FPL has scored more goals than White this season with four, and Gunners defenders like Polo are also among the top 10 players in the same position for chances created, with a total of 33 goals.

vs Newcastle

Managers of this week’s FPL Challenge shouldn’t overlook teams outside the capital, however.

Newcastle return to Tyneside to host Sheffield United, whom they defeated 8-0 last September.

Eddie Howe’s side have kept eight clean sheets in the Premier League, more than any other club this season.

Join Fabian Schaal (£5.7m) line-up is Anthony Gordon (£6.2m), he has more attacking returns in home games than any other player, with 20.
